Honey Bunny
Small Rabbit with Sweater by Debbie Bliss, for my lil niece who named it “Honey Bunny”. I used a hand painted yarn a friend got for me, I didn’t remember the label. I knitted in the round when I could using double needles, and didn’t go back and forth, ‘cuz I like to avoid sewing.
Triniti’s Santa Hat
I got a picture of my adorable niece, Triniti, wearing the Santa Hat I made for her. How cute is she?!?!
Brianna’s Christmas Scarf
Made this for Brianna for Christmas, she picked out the yarn. I doubled up and then decreased near the edges to make that band. And then the ruffle at the ends were done by doubling up (increasing) twice.
Design – Leaf Shawl with Vogue Knitting on the Edge
A shawl to go with my new Anokhi dress. I used Trendsetter Yarns “Dune” and Berrocco Glace. The Dune is mohair with a bit of metallic going through it, and the Glace let me do the leaves on the edge while giving the mohair some body and extra softness. The leaf pattern came from Vogue Knitting on the Edge, and the rest of the shawl was done with alternate rows: P2, yarn under, p2tog / knit across.

Four Baby Hats
Little projects to do while travelling. I did the blue one and the pastel one on the train to and from NYC. The red one I did on the plane from Italy. All three of those are done with Crayon’s Lite hand dyed cotton. The green one I did to finish off the Opal wool sock yarn. The blue hat’s the smallest, the green the biggest, but they’re all kid/baby size. Little Janelle Hoskins got the red one.
Design – Purple Tank
Here’s the tank which I made from yarn I bought with my store credit from The Yarn Co in NYC. I had a credit there from the alpaca yarn I returned on my bell sleeve sweater. This yarn is a tape yarn from Knit One Crochet Two, it’s called Tartlette.
Triniti’s Wrap Shirt
Here’s the wrap shirt I made for Trinnii to replace the preemie one. I sized it with 1 year old measurements so I didn’t have to rush. 🙂 The purple yarn is Sidhar Snowflake, and the trim is Rainbow Mills Crayon’s Lite left over from making Anita’s baby’s hat. Both yarns are cotton. It’s midsummer now, but when I put it on her front to see how much more she had to grow to fit into it, she grabbed it tight and smiled. It’s a really soft yarn, and maybe she already knows purple is her color. She should be able to start wearing it in the fall. Hope to add a picture of her in it. She’s too cute!
Design – Bell Sleeve Alpaca Sweater
I have a favorite wrap t-shirt that I copied to make this sweater, adding bell sleeves and bottom edging. I used a size 17 needle for the first 4 rows of the bottom, and 8 rows of the sleeves, and switched to a size 13 to knit the body of the piece. The yarn is GGH Savanah alpaca blend. I was under a deadline to finish it so I could return all the extra yarn I bought… I bought 20 skeins and only needed 10 and this yarn wasn’t cheap. I’ve got a store credit at The Yarn Co in NYC which I plan to use when I visit my cousin in June.
The Opal Socks
For my birthday last year Peg gave me some Opal sock yarn and small double pointed needles. These socks represent the first time I knit in the round, which is why I’m not showing the cuff, it’s kinda messy. :-] I did most of the knitting on the plane ride out and back from visiting my cousin in Albuquerque.
